Barbed Wire Maintenance

Regular Cleaning and Rust Prevention

Cleaning Frequency: Clean off any deposits (such as dust and leaves) every 3 months. In humid areas, this should be reduced to every 1-2 months.

Rust Prevention Measures:
Galvanized Barbed Wire: If the zinc layer is worn, apply rust-preventive paint (epoxy resin paint is recommended, every 2 years).

Stainless Steel Barbed Wire: Wipe with a neutral detergent, avoiding strong acids and alkalis.

Regular Inspection and Replacement Standards

Inspect connectors (such as clips and brackets) every six months; tighten or replace any loose parts.

The entire barbed wire section must be replaced if:

Rust covers more than 30% of the surface area (refer to GB/T 18226-2015 standard).

Broken or deformed blades cause a decrease in protective performance.
