Design And Installation Process Of Steel Grating

Jan 05, 2026|

Steel grating boasts advantages such as aesthetic appeal, durability, ventilation and light transmission, slip resistance, high load-bearing capacity, ease of cleaning, and simple installation. It is used in industries including alloys, building materials, power plants, boilers, shipbuilding, petrochemicals, and general industrial plants and municipal construction. Primarily used as industrial platforms, stair treads, handrails, walkway flooring, railway bridge walkways, drainage ditch covers for high-altitude tower platforms, and manhole covers. Steel grating must consider both pedestrian safety and the needs of vehicle traffic, placing higher demands on its load-bearing capacity and rigidity.

The length of the steel grating should meet the span requirements of the specified model, and the overlap distance between the flat steel ends and the beam should not be less than 25 mm.

In specific designs, the length dimensions can be appropriately adjusted based on the steel grating manufacturing process and on-site construction conditions.
